God is Always There for me

God is always there for me

This I know with certainty

Morning, noon and end of day

His presence is the only way

To fill my soul and ease my pain

To turn my sorrow into gain

God is ever there for me

To tease a smile

That helps me see

The situation differently

And pause to glory in its wake

A blessing from it curse I take

Can sadness stay which brings

Him near

To wipe away each falling tear

To hold my hand and gently lead

Me to accept His will and heed

His call to come and rest in me

With gratitude, I’ll humbly be

His humble, patient, lowly child

Can I be ever meek and mild?

To follow in His company

As He is ever there for me
